Heading south out of Butler, WI, the remnants of another interurban line lay waste. The Chicago, North Shore and Milwaukee Railroad left their concrete embankments at the wayside for this Railroader's camera. The interurban ran from Milwaukee, WISC. to Waukegan, ILL. to Evanston, ILL.It's not uncommon for certain railroaders to toss a case of water bottles from their slow-moving train to the residents of this way-side home. At this point, the grade is steep and any heavy train would be moving no more than 20 MPH -and if a box of water was to be dropped this train might be moving even slower...
